Children's Centre : Guildford

cfp's flagship £1.8m 'Early Excellence' centre for Surrey County Council.

An existing primary school was extended and converted into a centre for pre-school children, containing play space and childcare facilities, as well as a community café. The new extensions provide a library, parent and toddler facilities, and a special unit for autistic children. The building also provides training facilities for staff under the Early Excellence scheme. The scheme has received much praise from the client, head teacher and visiting educational experts.
